Underground Fitters - COAL MINING

Tecside are seeking Underground Fitters to join our client's dedicated team. In this full-time permanent role, you'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment essential to safe production underground.

This position is located in Central West NSW, relocation is encouraged with support provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a close-knit crew to operate and maintain underground equipment efficiently and safely.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems, including:
• Surface and underground conveyor systems
• Air and water management infrastructure
• Continuous miners
• Automated longwall systems
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with Engineering Management Plans and the Maintenance Management System.
• Accurately complete reports and documentation.

About You:

• Qualified in a mechanical trade.
• Previous experience in underground coal mining is a plus, but not essential.
• Experienced in heavy industry, defence, or heavy diesel environments working on complex mechanical systems.
• A strong team player with a positive, proactive mindset.
• Committed to maintaining a high standard of safety at all times.
