Are you passionate about streamlining processes, reducing inefficiencies and delivering measurable results? We’re on the lookout for a forward-thinking Business Improvement Advisor to champion smarter ways of working across the City of Melville.

In this strategic role, you’ll lead business improvement initiatives, work closely with internal stakeholders, and play a key part in enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency and compliance. If you’re someone who thrives on driving change, influencing stakeholders, and using data to guide decisions, this is the opportunity.

Location: City of Melville Civic Centre

Salary: $139,511.66 + 11.5% Super

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee the coordination of eth outsourced internal audit program and report findings to the Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee

Drive process analysis, root cause identification, and implementation of evidence-based improvements

Contribute to business improvement projects and Service Plan Reviews

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify innovative solutions

Use data analytics to inform decision-making and track process improvement effectiveness

Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain

A tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Economics, Accounting or similar

Demonstrated experience in driving business improvement, change management or service design initiatives

Strong understanding of risk and audit principles within a compliance framework

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Proficiency in business improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc) and experience in local government or public sector environment are highly regarded
