About the role:
- Manage and resolve a portfolio of customer complaints with a high level of professionalism and empathy.
- Investigate and analyse complex complaints, gathering necessary information to reach fair and effective resolutions.
- Communicate directly with customers, understanding their concerns and providing timely updates on the resolution process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to address the root causes of complaints and implement process improvements and education to minimise complaints.
- Ensure all complaints are accurately documented, tracked, and reported according to internal policies and compliance standards.
- Consult with underwriters and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority as required.
About you:
- Strong experience in property insurance claims.
- Previous experience managing complex complaints is favourable.
- Proven experience with compliance, interpreting and applying legislation within a regulated industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex situations effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner, to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document and track complaints accurately.
