Our System Stewardship Directorate is responsible for policy, strategy and innovation projects that support the Child and Family Support System by working inclusively with sector partners and across the Division.
The Principal Aboriginal Project Officer is a role within the System Stewardship Directorate and is accountable to the General Manager, System Stewardship for:
delivering the Child and Family Support System (CFSS) Aboriginal Governance and Accountability Project that will ensure that the work of the CFSS is culturally safe and accountable
designing and implementing of cultural governance mechanisms across Child and Family Support (CFS)
providing advice and project management to ensure CFS delivers on the DHS commitments under Closing the Gap
contributing to the identification, development, direction and management of strategies, policy and practice that support the implementation of quality services to Aboriginal children and families in line with departmental and Aboriginal community needs
supporting the development and maintenance of strong partnerships, connections and productive working relationships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.

Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
