About the Role
The Lead, Planning and Operations (A&AU) is responsible for high-level project management, policy and strategy advice, and the coordination, analysis and monitoring of all planning and reporting requirements for the A&AU. This role also provides high level administrative support across a wide range of A&AU matters.
The position supports the Pro Vice-Chancellor of A&AU (PVC) and other staff across the team on critical projects, budget management and ensures they are briefed and prepared to act effectively when representing UTS. Additionally, the position provides coordination and secretarial support for A&AU-related committees led by the office of the PVC and liaises closely with key stakeholders including committee and board members, donors and alumni, on behalf of the PVC as required.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the PVCA&A in developing and implementing A&AU strategies, operational plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leading projects to enhance team efficiency, manage Unit operations, and maintain oversight of budgets and strategic resource allocation.
- Sourcing and analysing data, sector benchmarks, and reports to inform strategy and respond to emerging challenges.
- Drive staff development strategies, promote a positive team culture, and ensure compliance with governance, WHS, and records management.
- Prepare high-quality documentation and provide strategic briefings, recommendations, and support to senior university stakeholders.

- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating teams, setting and monitoring performance goals and managing competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of the importance of compliance, governance, record keeping and strategic resource management in complex environments that engage large and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of the fundraising sector and higher education sector preferable.
- Experience with project management tools, and other relevant technologies. Ability to leverage technology for streamlined communication and coordination.
- Experience utilising digital platforms for record keeping, project management, team collaboration is desirable.

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $138,882 to $145,495 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
