Job Description

We are a leading construction company based in South Australia that specializes in commercial projects. We seek a qualified and experienced Building Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations for construction projects

Coordinate and supervise the activities of on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and standards

Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control

Report project progress and challenges to senior management

Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper documentation is maintained

Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the project runs smoothly

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Certificate IV in Building and Construction (CPC40120) or equivalent

White Card (mandatory for working on construction sites)

Valid Driver’s License

Current Supervisors License (Minimum 2 storey)

First Aid certification (preferred)

Experience:

Proven experience as a Building Supervisor or Site Supervisor in commercial construction

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards

Ability to manage and supervise a team of workers and contractors

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Skills:

Strong leadership abilities and team management skills

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints

Good understanding of project management software and MS Office tools

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Desirable Attributes:

A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to remain calm under pressure and make timely decisions on-site
