About the role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Pharmacist, to work initially in the Women and Children's team, and lead the organisation, management, and daily operations of a designated pharmacy area. In this key leadership role, you will provide a comprehensive, high-level range of pharmacy services, exercising independent and autonomous judgement to deliver expert medicines information and therapeutic advice. You will work closely with patients, medical and nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, all while adhering to hospital policies, professional standards, and best practice guidelines.
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in optimising patient outcomes through the promotion of quality use of medicines in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Your clinical expertise, strategic thinking, and commitment to continuous improvement will contribute to shaping best practice and enhancing pharmaceutical care within the hospital setting. About You
You are a qualified and experienced pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. With a collaborative mindset and a commitment to excellence, you're ready to take on a senior role in a dynamic hospital setting.
Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and are registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
Bring extensive hospital pharmacy experience and demonstrated leadership or management capability
Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team
Have strong clinical knowledge, research and data analysis skills, and a proven ability to develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery
