We are actively seeking a versatile Mechanical Trade Assistant to join our dedicated workshop team in Rocklea.

Our company works on a large variety of new and old vehicles ranging from small fleet maintenance and repair to dealership new and used fit out, and custom builds.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual with a positive attitude to join our friendly team.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential.

As a mechanical trade assistant, you will be required to work alongside experienced tradespeople, work safely in a team environment and demonstrate high attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills in all aspects of your work. You will play a key role in supporting our team and workshop operations on a day to day basis.

• Assist diesel mechanics and auto-electricians with truck repair, maintenance, and service
• Basic dismantling and re-fitting of trucks
• Safety compliance in all aspects of work
• Parts collection (in company vehicle), parts distribution and storeroom maintenance
• General workshop cleaning and organisation

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, there is opportunity for overtime to be worked weekdays and weekends.

Experience would be beneficial however full training can be provided for the right individual.

Skill development opportunities are available for those keen to progress their knowledge and skills within the industry.

What you need:

• Valid QLD drivers licence
• Australian working rights
• Mechanical interest or experience
• Willingness to learn

An advantage but not essential:

• Forklift (HRW) Licence
• HR Truck Licence
• Previous experience working with Trucks and/or within a workshop environment
