This company are an award winning Melbourne-based home builder known for delivering high-quality, custom-designed homes. They offer a wide range of home-building services, including custom-built single and double-storey homes, luxury residences, Knock Down rebuild projects and Townhouses.

The role would see you manage their South East / East Based construction team consisting of 3 site supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of residential construction projects from pre-construction to final handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Team Management: Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and tradespeople, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating timelines, milestones, and critical path activities to ensure timely completion.
• Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control standards throughout all phases of the project. Conduct regular inspections and resolve any defects or issues.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
• Procurement: Coordinate ordering, delivery, and inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project specs and timelines.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address issues or delays, offering practical and cost-effective solutions to maintain progress.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation

What we are looking for:

• Experience as a construction manager within a home builder
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage on-site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Excellent knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Solid budgeting and cost control experience
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, trades, and internal teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
• Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
• Comfortable using construction management software and digital tools
• Reliable, accountable, and committed to delivering projects on time and within scope
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites as needed
