Start Your Sales Career with Real Training, Real Support, and Real Earning Potential
At Criterion Industries, we don’t just offer jobs — we build careers. As a proudly Australian-owned business operating since 1981, we manufacture premium aluminium systems used in leading commercial and residential projects across the country.
We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for a hungry, driven, and coachable individual who’s ready to build a career in B2B sales. No industry experience required — if you’ve got the ambition, high energy levels - we’ll teach you the rest.
You might be a uni graduate, school leaver, deferring your studies, or even looking to completely start from scratch with a new career path.
About the Role
As an Sales Development Representative - Junior, you’ll spend most of your time on the phone, speaking with builders, architects and project stakeholders. Your job is to open doors, build rapport quickly, and create qualified sales opportunities for the business. You’ll be supported by structured training, clear targets, and a team that wants to see you win.
This is not a marketing or admin role. This is a sales position — and a launchpad into more senior roles in business development, account management, or sales leadership!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Making outbound calls to identify leads and qualify opportunities
- Building strong relationships with builders and architects
- Managing leads from early enquiry through to handover with the sales team
- Following up consistently to close deals and meet your targets
- Logging activity and progress in Salesforce
- Reporting on sales pipeline activity and market trends
- Collaborating with internal teams to improve how we sell and deliver
- Supporting new product launches with client feedback and insights
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Loves talking to people and can build rapport fast
- Feels at home on the phone — thrives in a high-contact sales environment
- Is motivated by targets, bonuses and recognition
- Wants more than a job — you’re looking for a career pathway
- Is coach-able, committed, and open to feedback
- Can handle rejection and bounce back fast
- Works well under pressure and stays organised in a fast-paced environment
Why Join Criterion?
- Full sales training provided through Criterion Academy
- Salary circa $60k-$70k plus super plus profit-share/bonus structure that rewards your effort
- Clear pathways to move into more senior sales or leadership roles
- Supportive, tight-knit team that celebrates wins and backs you to grow
- Nationally trusted brand with over 40 years in the market
- Real career momentum — we don't shy away from providing opportunities to those who have demonstrated hunger, ability, and humbleness.
Important: This is a phone-heavy role. You will spend the majority of your day speaking with potential clients, following up leads, and progressing opportunities. If you love building relationships and aren’t afraid to pick up the phone, we want to hear from you.
