Position Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Surveyor to manage and deliver cadastral and engineering surveying projects, working along side our Licensed Surveyors and Cadastral Drafting team. You will lead survey operations, liaise with clients, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development through your technical expertise. This role requires a high level of precision, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Surveying
Conduct cadastral, topographic, and engineering surveys, including:
Land subdivision and boundary re-establishment surveys
Strata surveys
Construction set-out and as-constructed surveys
Control surveys and geodetic network establishment
Research and verify survey data, plans, and reports from regulatory authorities and clients
Ensure compliance with Landgate, Main Roads WA, and other industry standards
Use advanced surveying equipment, Leica total stations and Topcon GNSS
Process survey data and prepare plans using Liscad, AutoCAD, and other industry software
Data Management and Compliance
Prepare and certify cadastral survey plans and documents in accordance with Western Australian surveying regulations
Audit and lodge cadastral plans at Landgate
Maintain accurate records and ensure survey reports are completed efficiently
Monitor and improve site survey procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Maintain Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance and ensure site safety standards are met
Client Liaison and Business Development
Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Provide technical expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders
Identify and pursue new opportunities for business growth
Mentor and support junior surveyors and field assistants
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
Degree in Surveying
Registrations with the Land Surveyors Licensing Board of Western Australia
Minimum 3 years of experience in cadastral and engineering surveying
Proficiency in surveying equipment and software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
