HOBAN Recruitment is seeking skilled and detail-oriented APS 5 level Tender Evaluation Officers to support the end-to-end tender refresh process for government marketplaces and panels. Working within a collaborative and high-performing procurement team, you will play a key role in evaluating tender applications, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvements in government digital sourcing.
Your expertise will contribute directly to a trusted advisory function supporting critical ICT and digital transformation efforts across the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end tender and panel refresh processes.
- Evaluate tender submissions, score against criteria, and prepare recommendation reports.
- Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and probity requirements.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support tender development.
- Track and report progress, escalating risks as required.
- Facilitate contract documentation, debriefs and onboarding of suppliers.
- Conduct compliance checks including financials and statutory documentation.
- Support ad hoc tasks related to procurement and panel refresh cycles.

About You:
We're looking for professionals with excellent judgement, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to operate within a compliance-driven environment.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in procurement or tender evaluation (preferably within government)
- Familiarity with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and PGPA Act
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in SharePoint, MS Word, and Excel
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively
- Certificate IV in Government Procurement and Contracting (desirable but not essential)
- Australian Citizenship and current Baseline Security Clearance
