About the role -

• Based in the south eastern suburbs.
• Mon to Friday with standard working hours but should be flexible
• 12 months Mat leave cover
• You'll be reporting to the Quality Manager

About your duties -

• Maintain, coordinate and monitor site Food Safety & Quality program and systems.
• Ensure compliance to and effectiveness of the food safety program
• Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that all staff comply with company hygiene and GMP standards.
• Verification of production paperwork and documentation
• Maintain customer complaint program, responding to customers as necessary, including trending.
• Completing root cause analysis ensuring corrective and preventative action is undertaken and verified as required.
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Responsible for the assessment and coordination of training programs
• Actively remove hurdles for Operations and assist the team wherever able to deliver results.
• Provide on-site monitoring and technical assistance to stakeholders when new processes or products are introduced to production.
• Implement and maintain compliance at a high level with all applicable regulatory and customer standards
• Promote food safety culture

About you -

• Tertiary education in Food Science, or similar
• Confectionary background is preferred.
• Proven 3-5 experience in a similar role in the food industry
• Knowledge of food technology systems and food quality
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written & verbal.
• Ability to take directions and meet deadlines.
• Pro-active and self-motivated with ability to plan and task manage numerous projects simultaneously.
