Secondary Mathematics/Science Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated Mathematics/Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in an independent school setting? We are seeking a committed Secondary Mathematics/Science Teacher to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term contract from Term 4, 2025, to the end of Term 1, 2026. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity for ongoing employment.

About the Role

As a Secondary Mathematics/Science Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in Years 7–12, fostering a love of mathematics and critical thinking. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative teaching team dedicated to academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.

Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.

Use data and assessment to inform teaching practice.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Build and sustain trusting, respectful, and professional relationships with students to support their wellbeing, engagement, and achievement.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development.

Contribute to the broader school community and co-curricular programs.

About You

Qualified to teach Secondary Mathematics/Science (Years 7–12).

Hold or be eligible for NESA accreditation and a Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
