Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Officer to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of EDGE Community Services, ensuring the smooth operation of services for NDIS participants. The Administration Officer will work closely with team members and management to maintain high standards of administrative support, documentation, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the NDIS team, ensuring compliance with all NDIS guidelines and regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for NDIS participants, including participant files, assessments, service agreements, and progress reports.
Liaise with clients, families, carers, and service providers to ensure efficient communication and timely responses to inquiries.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence, directing them to the appropriate team members.
Assist in the preparation and processing of NDIS funding applications, claims, and other related documentation.
Maintain an organised filing system, ensuring all relevant documentation is accessible and secure.
Support the finance team with invoicing, billing, and tracking payments related to NDIS services.
Monitor and manage office supplies and resources to ensure the efficient functioning of administrative tasks.
Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures for administrative processes.
Participate in team meetings, offering insights on administrative improvements and providing support as required.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within the NDIS or disability services sector.
Strong knowledge of NDIS processes, guidelines, and documentation requirements.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant administrative software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with privacy laws and policies.
A proactive, positive attitude with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Knowledge of basic financial processes, including invoicing and billing, is desirable.
Desirable Qualifications:
Certificate IV in Disability or Administration (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Experience working in a community service or NDIS-related role is highly advantageous.
