Your Opportunity
We currently seek an experienced and energetic candidate for the role of Planning and Service Coordinator at our Perth based office. The role will be responsible for liaising with our clients who include some of the world's largest multi-nationals, providing pricing, confirming logistics and staff movements, preparing job packs and documentation as well as keeping appropriate records to conduct full and detailed supported invoicing.
Who would the Role Suit
The role would suit an individual who can prove a background and desire to communicate with our internal and external stakeholders, and who can show a degree of autonomy when it comes to accessing the resources allocated by VIKING and the team of people proudly already on the team. You will have a logical way of operating, keeping track of quotes, invoices and costs and enjoy working with people in a technical industry centred around keeping people safe on our seas wherever they are in the world.
About You
Successful candidates need to be customer focused, highly organised, have the ability to adapt to change quickly, have strong attention to detail and be a very good team player and communicator.
Applicants must meet the following Criteria:
Have the confidence to ask questions
Be able to logically present information to our customers such as pricing, timings, and create job packs for our service engineers
Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Have good time management skills, i.e. ensure timely replies to customers, monitor job progress/status closely and ensure timely delivery of services to meet customers’ expectations
Have a flexible approach to any given situation and be able to prioritise accordingly
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
A good level of computer skills in Windows based programs
Previous experience in SAP systems
Previous experience in planning and coordinating
Work well as part of a small team as well as being flexible to assist in other areas of the business
Unrestricted rights to permanently live and work in Australia.
The following is desirable, but not essential:
Estimating and quotation experience
Working in the marine industry or similar
Previous experience in logistics
Worked with key customers and be flexible to their needs.
