Job Title: Civil Project Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Project Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overseeing on-site engineering activities, ensuring construction is carried out in line with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage on-site engineering works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, project scope, and timelines.

Interpret and review construction drawings, blueprints, scopes of work, and specifications to provide accurate technical support.

Conduct site surveys and assessments to collect data and proactively identify risks or issues.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution, covering WHSE, ITPs, quality assurance, and cost tracking.

Ensure all site activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and relevant legislation.

Monitor construction progress and proactively address issues or delays in coordination with site supervisors and project managers.

Carry out quality control inspections to ensure that construction work aligns with specified standards and expectations.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate project documentation including reports, logs, and records using construction project management systems.

Provide on-site instruction and support to construction workers and subcontractors.

Perform additional duties within your area of expertise as required to support project and organisational success.

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification or certification in Civil Engineering, Site Engineering, or Construction Management.

Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

Solid understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.

Strong knowledge of WHSE, ITPs, and quality management systems.

Experience with construction project management software.

First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).

Stakeholder Engagement

Internal: Collaborate with all internal departments and project teams.

External: Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and suppliers to ensure alignment and delivery of project objectives.
