About the role

Seeking a Senior Network Security Consultant to provide specialist guidance and hands-on support across key Network SecOps initiatives of our government sector client in Brisbane.
In this critical role, you will lead and support complex technical projects, including cloud migration, firewall lifecycle upgrades, and core infrastructure enhancements.
Your expertise will shape secure network architecture, mentor internal teams, and drive innovation in security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert consultancy in Network Security Operations across design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical leadership for complex firewall configurations, including Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
• Drive security best practices in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
• Support automation in SecOps using leading-edge tools.
• Influence architectural direction and risk management across enterprise environments.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Network Security Operations role within complex enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, WAF, DNS, proxy, and load balancing
• Proven experience in security automation and modern security tools
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
• Experience in large-scale projects (e.g., Firewall Lifecycle, Cloud Migration, Router Refresh, InfoBlox upgrades)
