Employing over 300 dedicated staff, they provide high quality residential aged care for more than 160 men and women in 5 locations across Northern Sydney – Gordon, Mosman, Hunters Hill, Dural and Gladesville.

The Role

As the Bus Driver is it an amazing opportunity to engage in an aged care base career, if you see yourself as an enthusiastic and compassionate driver this role is for you!

What does the typical day look like?

Start your day by picking up the bus from our lovely facility in Hunters Hill, then hit the road to take residents on exciting outings and to important appointments. You’ll assist residents, getting on and off the bus, all while building genuine relationships and keeping things fun! After each trip, give the bus a good clean and safety check so it’s ready for the next adventure.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

Safe Transportation: Drive residents to outings, excursions, appointments, and shopping, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct weekly vehicle safety inspections and complete necessary documentation. Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as topping up fluids, and report any significant repairs to the Corporate Services Manager.

Resident Assistance: Assist residents with entering and exiting the bus, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. Help load and unload items like picnic tables, chairs, and activity boxes when required.

Vehicle Presentation: Maintain cleanliness and good presentation of the 12-seater bus, both inside and outside, to meet high standards.

Quality & Safety Checks: Complete risk assessments and ensure all vehicles pass the Vehicle, Quality, and Safety Checklist.

Shifts available

Working across our 5 homes in the north of Sydney

Opportunity for full-time work

Shift commences 8:30am and finishes at 4:30pm

About you

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will have proven yourself as a Driver who treats residents in a respectful and courteous manner. Further, you will have:

An up to date Police Check/NDISWC

A valid NSW Drivers License (no special license needed)

Previous experience working in community or aged care would be highly regarded

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills

Most importantly, you will be a team player who lives and breathes our values every day.
