The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is hiring up to 100,000 temporary staff to work at the federal election.

There are a range of roles available, you could be giving people their ballot papers, counting votes or managing polling places.

Most work is on election day but some jobs are for a few weeks, making it a great opportunity to earn extra money. No electoral experience is needed as paid training is provided. You also get on-the-job support as part of the team delivering world-class electoral services in Australia.

The AEC’s role is to successfully deliver a federal election with the highest levels of integrity. To work at the election you must be both politically neutral.
