Paying $61.60 per hour

About the Role:

We are recruiting experienced Family Services Practitioners to be available to cover short term locum contracts in future. Locum roles can range from 6 weeks - 6 months, depending on the organisations needs. You will provide a range of intake and case management supports to vulnerable children and families across Melbourne.

Key Duties will include:

• Deliver quality intake, outreach case management and case coordination to a case load of vulnerable families and their children.
• Conduct comprehensive family assessments.
• Facilitate referrals to other services according to the needs identified in the case plan such as mental health, housing, alcohol and other drug services and other community services.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with other government and community organisations, including Child Protection to support outcomes.

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
• Minimum 12 months experience working in a Family Services or Child Protection Program
• Understanding of family violence theoretical frameworks and interventions
• Demonstrated experience working with high needs, complex families, utilising a child-focused family-centred approach
• Understanding of child development, trauma, and attachment theories
