This Federal Government Organisation is seeking multiple APS4 Biosecurity Operation Officers to join the Biosecurity Operations Division, a team dedicated to protecting Australia from severe pests and diseases. They ensure that imported goods, food, and conveyances meet Australia's biosecurity standards.

Your new role

As a Biosecurity Officer, you'll:

• Assess documentation for compliance with biosecurity laws.
• Inspect imported goods, food, and mail.
• Provide advice on biosecurity matters.
• Manage non-compliant goods.
• Identify and escalate biosecurity risks.
• Support and coach other team members.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ability to be on your feet all day.
• Manual handling.
• Ability to work in multiple environments, e.g. hot/cold.
• Previous experience in a regulatory role is beneficial.
• You must be an Australian Citizen.
• Have a valid driving licence.
• Have a valid Police Check within the last 90 days.
• Have obtained a Baseline Clearance in prefered or the ability to obtain a Baseline Vetting security clearance.
