An established Australian construction company with 30+ years in the industry seeks a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with construction experience to manage building services engineering across projects.

Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, fire and hydraulic systems on commercial, education, health and retail projects from concept to completion. You'll ensure that all building services are delivered safely, to high quality standards and within project parameters.

Responsibilities include:

• Take a lead role in the management of building services engineering, including HVAC systems integration
• Work collaboratively with project teams to identify and mitigate construction risks related to mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and quality management procedures
• Manage expenditure and technical solutions to optimise project outcomes
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to deliver successful engineering outcomes

Required Skills & Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Construction experience (HVAC contractor, builder or main contractor background)
• Strong understanding of building services integration and construction techniques
• Well-developed ability to identify and control risk during construction
• Able to work autonomously with strong problem-solving abilities
