Mader Group are seeking HV Electricians that have experience working on Locomotives.

We have long term opportunities for tradespeople with rail experience working on locomotives locally in SA or FIFO to SA.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and breakdown repairs of locomotives.

What will I be doing:

Scheduled Locomotive and Rolling stock maintenance

Diagnostics, fault finding and repairs of Diesel electric Drive systems such as EMD, GE & GA

Drive system component diagnostics and repairs

Dynamic brake testing and commissioning

Electrical Component installation, replacement and repairs

Electrical and Mechanical breakdown diagnostics and repairs; including replacements of Traction Motors, Alternators, Engine and Power assemblies, Air Compressors, and Blower motors.

What do I need?

Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate - Cert III Electrotechnology

Minimum 2 years experience working on locomotives

National police check (or willing to obtain)

Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical
