Are you a passionate and experienced leader in the disability and aged care sector?

Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to make a real difference in people's lives?

Simply Helping Gippsland South and West is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Programs Manager to oversee and ensure our business objectives and strategies are aligned with service delivery across our Home Care Package (HCP), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Transport Accident Commission (TAC), and Complex Programs.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Operations and Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our services and administrative functions adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and legal entities. You will lead a dedicated team and drive continuous improvement to ensure we deliver exceptional care and support to our clients. The role is full-time and office-based, from Monday to Friday, on a six-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent contract after the initial period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Provide overall leadership, management, and direction across all HCP, NDIS, TAC, and Complex Programs.
  • Team Development: Oversee the performance and professional development of direct reports through support, supervision, and appraisals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key networks and stakeholders to foster program development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, service expansion, and adapt to evolving government policies and reforms.
  • Strategic Contribution: Actively participate in policy review, strategic planning, and business planning to ensure alignment with organisational direction and compliance requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring goals are met in customer satisfaction, safety, quality, compliance, and team member performance.
  • Change Management: Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee activities to maintain standards of performance and compliance, including quality management systems, planning, and control.
  • Program Oversight: Oversee the development and implementation of care plans, behaviour support plans, individual support plans, and behaviour strategies.
  • Client Reviews: Coordinate quarterly client reviews to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures with the support of the Programs Advisor.
  • Training & Compliance: Conduct training sessions and support compliance with company policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Management: Set performance targets and implement improvement measures.
  • Audit Management: Work with field staff to complete internal audits and implement plans for full program compliance.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Review marketing initiatives to increase client numbers.
  • Service Standards & Satisfaction: Regularly review quality service standards and client satisfaction.
  • Restrictive Interventions: Ensure restrictive interventions are reviewed and monitored regularly.
  • Guidance & Direction: Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders for complex clients.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Tertiary qualification in human services / social science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in service design and delivery as a manager within aged care services and/or NDIS.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HCP, NDIS, and TAC programs.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring budgets, contract management, and reporting.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Highly-developed communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
