About The Role:

Based in Caboolture, Currimundi and Nambour, the Therapy Assistant will collaborate with Speech and Occupational Therapists to help achieve clients' goals. The role involves a passion for enriching the quality of life for clients with diverse and complex care needs. The role will have allied health professionals supporting you to be able to provide assistance to clients in clinical and community settings. This is a fantastic opportunity to be able to develop your skills and celebrate clients achieving their speech, occupational therapy and assisted daily living goals. Key responsibilities include working alongside therapists to follow therapy intervention plans, following written directions, and creating engaging activities tailored to the goals. The role also requires the ability to be spontaneous in implementing these activities. Additionally, the Therapy Assistant will be responsible for compiling and providing treatment notes. Previous experience, either professional or personal, with individuals who have a variety of disabilities is highly valued.

About You:

You will be someone who demonstrates the following:

Ability to self-motivate and self-manage, and a strong team ethic

High level of commitment to customer service

Advanced oral and written communication skills, and proficient computer skills

Excellent time management skills

High level of resilience and patience: Persists to achieve goals, even in the face of obstacles; copes effectively with setbacks and disappointments; remains calm and in control under pressure

Requirements:

Blue card and Yellow Card

Current driver's licence and have access to own transport with the ability and willingness to drive as the role requires

A demonstrated understanding of learning difficulties, sensory processing issues, motor skills challenges, and child development

Full work rights to work in Australia on a permanent, full-time basis

A certificate in disability/aged care is desired, but not essential.
