Some of the key functions of the Enrolled Nurse is to practice in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Boards Standards of Practice:
- Functions in accordance with the law, policies and procedures affecting EN practice
- Practices nursing in a way that ensures the rights, confidentiality, dignity and respect of people is upheld
- Accepts accountability and responsibility for own actions
- Interprets information from a range of sources in order to contribute to planning appropriate care
- Collaborates with the RN, the person receiving care and the healthcare team when developing plans of care
- Provides skilled and timely care to people whilst promoting their independence and involvement in care decision-making
- Communicates and uses documentation to inform and report care
- Provides nursing care that is informed by research evidence
- Practices within safety and quality improvement guidelines and standards
- Engages in ongoing development of self as a professional
About your role:
- Nursing assessments, treatment and emergency management within the Enrolled nursing scope
- Working within a team nursing model.
- Completing patient risk assessments and advocacy.
- Utilise eMR/FirstNet for documentation.
- Phlebotomy and cannulation.
- Advanced nursing skills

About Mid North Coast Local Health District
Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) covers an area of 11,335 square kilometres extending from Port Macquarie Hastings Local Government Area in the south to Coffs Harbour Local Government Area in the north.
MNCLHD is a non commercial government funded health organisation that provides quality health care at public hospitals in Bellingen, Coffs Harbour, Dorrigo, Kempsey, Macksville, Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
