About the role

Permanent opportunity to provide advanced clinical expertise and care in developing, implementing, evaluating and ongoing monitoring of a program focused on providing mental health, social and emotional wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
  • Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in models of social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills, and expert clinical judgement in relation to social and emotional wellbeing and the journey through the justice system, while providing forensic mental health consultation, including assessment, making informed decisions, and offering tailored interventions to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
