No Teaching Experience? No Problem!
If you’re a skilled tradesperson with a strong interest in training, TAFE Queensland North can support your transition into teaching. You’ll receive full guidance, training, and professional development while earning a full-time salary.
Available roles:
Teacher – Plumbing (CPC32420 – Certificate III in Plumbing)
Teacher – Refrigeration (UEE32220 – Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
What you’ll be doing:
Delivering hands-on training to apprentices and students
Using your experience to teach real-world skills in a classroom, workshop, or onsite
Designing and assessing practical training that reflects industry standards
Supporting students with different learning styles and career goals
Staying connected to your trade while building a long-term, impactful career

Who Are We Looking For?
✔ Experienced Tradespeople – Minimum of 5 years industry experience as a Plumber or Refrigeration Technician.
✔ Passionate Professionals – A desire to mentor and develop the next generation of tradespeople.
✔ Keen to Become a Qualified Teacher – If you don’t have a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) yet, we can help you gain this qualification while you work.
