Quinton Antony are working closely with a large construction head contractor in the appointment of a Application Development Manager.

Purpose of this position

This role will lead the application development and support team members.

The Application Development Manager's role is responsible for overseeing product development and key business initiatives, coordinating tasks, and supervising and involvement with the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications.

Key accountabilities

Managing Team

Maintain a high-performing team to deliver deployments that include feature enhancement and bug fixes that add value to the business.

Provide leadership to development team, including coaching and mentoring

Management of day-to-day tasks

Support the Business through development

Oversee scheduled deployments through CI/CD pipeline – building, testing and deployment of software applications.

Engage, analyse requirements and delivering deployments

Quality testing

Manage the quality of the system development process.

Management of the development and implementation of Tracker features and functions.

Oversee quality assurance testing (UAT) before any product or service goes live

Communication

Collaborate across business and technology functions to ensure comprehensive business solutions are implemented.

Manage project information to ensure that relevant stakeholders are kept updated of progress and changes in the project.

Regular meetings, informal updates or utilising specific tools to provide update

Ensure quarterly formal deployments occur as planned with adequate updates.

Analyse Requirements

Determine if existing codes, parameters, and functions can be effectively integrated as shared objects with the development of enterprise business components.

Identify the associations and relationships between entities and their elements.

Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement changes that can improve process
