FHEOM (Fulton Hogan Egis O&M Pty Ltd) has the contract for the Incident Response and Maintenance of Sydney’s WestConnex Motorways including the M4, M5, M8, M4-M8 Link and most recently-opened Rozelle Interchange.

Reporting to the M&E Supervisors, we are looking for our next Team Leader to assist manage a team of skilled M&E Technicians for day-to-day operations with a view to understudying the Supervisor role.

This position will have previous experience as an M&E Technician and ideally hold an Electrical licence.

They will be required to:

Support the Supervisor/s by providing guidance and direction to team members in assigning and monitoring work carried out individually, and in a team environment.

Conduct routine inspections of Maintenance Sites to report any needs and oversee works conducted

Conduct routine and urgent maintenance work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, including maintenance of mechanical and electrical works.

Ensure effective and economical use of plant and equipment including utilisation of work vehicles.

Manage routine problems that arise during work through the application of acquired knowledge and reference to standard guidelines and manuals, escalating as needed and ensuring information reported in handovers.

Actively participate in team meetings and processes and pro-actively offer suggestions for improvements.

Be agile in managing team members using supervisory and planning skills to deliver work in an environment of competing priorities and tight timeframes.

Have a willingness to complete additional qualifications in industry specific courses to become a SME.

Have sound computer skills including use of excel, word, and databases, with preference for working knowledge in Maximo.

Potentially form part of a weekend-only duty roster as an escalation point when working.

Desired hands-on experience in the following also preferred:

HV&LV Electrical Distribution Systems

HVAC & Exhaust Systems

Fire Systems

Mechanical Ventilation Systems

Water Treatment Facilities

Drainage and Tunnel Sumps;

Candidates holding electrical qualifications, MR licence and experience working in a similar environment are encouraged to apply, as are those from outside the industry with transferrable skill sets.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Electrical licence

White Card

Australian C Class (or above) Drivers Licence

Right to Work in Australia

Drive and enthusiasm to be part of one of the biggest infrastructure projects in NSW

A strong work ethic

Problem solving / strong customer results orientation

Understanding and commitment to occupational health and safety requirements and the environment

Experience/willingness to work shifts over a rotational roster including nights, some weekends and occasional public holidays as part of.

Highly desirable:

HV Switching

Full ARC Licence

Industrial maintenance experience

Roadways equipment maintenance experience

All positions will need to:

Participate in toolbox meetings & pre start risk assessments

Ensure that safe work practices are observed at all times

Have a thorough understanding and commitment to occupational health safety and environmental requirements

Report incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations.

In addition, you will need to:

Have a current drivers license and vehicle

Work shift work including some weekends and public holidays over a 24/7 rotational roster.
