About the Role
Our large government client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Finance Advisor (Taxation) to lead the Department’s corporate taxation responsibilities in this part-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the department’s corporate taxation framework delivery, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards
• Provide expert analysis and advice on GST, FBT, and NTER matters, identifying risks and opportunities
• Prepare and review complex submissions, policy proposals, and ministerial briefings
• Act as the go-to advisor for internal stakeholders on taxation impacts, legislation updates, and compliance measures
• Drive continuous improvement in tax knowledge, systems, and capability across the team
• Manage a high-performing team, overseeing task allocation, hiring, capability development, and team communication

Qualifications (Highly Regarded)

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration, with a focus on taxation (highly desirable)
• Professional membership with CPA Australia, CA ANZ, or IPA (highly desirable)
• Government experience (preferred)
