All Purpose Pumps (APP) has dedicated offices and manufacturing facilities in both Hoppers Crossing and Corio, Victoria.

Summary:

We are seeking qualified electrician and experienced production technician to join our production team at Hoppers Crossing site. This is s are permanent, ongoing (full time - 40 hrs week) with monthly RDO.

The purpose of this position is to undertake effective electrical testing and reliable part production including repairing, and maintenance of sewage, storm water, and water supply pump systems, and their related products. We work across a broad range of pumping systems and offer a variety in your working experience with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Work in accordance with Production Schedule, assembling systems as per line requirements.

Consistently meet expected assembly forecast times.

Test and complete systems and perform quality control evaluations to confirm items meet established standards.

Communicate solutions for production challenges with quality assurance.

Operate plant and equipment in accordance with safe work instructions. Identify faults and implement effective solutions where appropriate

Wiring and function testing of rainwater and booster systems. Cable extensions on pumps

Complete all necessary reports accurately and timely.

Participate in daily toolbox meetings, actively contributing to improving department KPI’s.

Participate in 5S & Lean team activities.

Monitor and maintain Workplace Safety principles and policies.

Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of APP’s ISO certifications to 9001, 45001 and 14001.

Qualifications/requirements:

An 'A' Grade electrical license would be highly regarded

Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, plumbing and electrical will be strongly preferred.

Knowledge and programming capabilities of PLCs and VSDs would be highly regarded

Strong hands-on - technical, mechanical and electrical background

Experience troubleshooting and fault finding (process of elimination).

Willing to complete a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Experience working on fire panels and systems is highly regarded.

Initiative, flexibility to work both in production and electrical with a can-do attitude.
