Galaxy Personnel is urgently seeking experienced Trades Assistants for some of our leading manufacturing clients across the Eastern & South East Suburbs. The roles will require your mechanical expertise combined with your strong hands-on assembly skills. You will be supporting the Mechanical Trades on site and therefore conducting a variety of duties including:
Key Responsibilities:
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Perform light welding tasks as required.
Contribute to facility maintenance and repairs.
Assist with assembly work and be able to interpret basic drawings.
Work independently and follow instructions accurately.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with OH&S regulations.
Successful candidates will have the following skills and attributes:
· Previous experience as a Trades Assistant.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to apply mechanical processes.
· Welding experience.
· Basic understanding of facilities maintenance.
· LF Forklift license is an advantage, but not essential.
· Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools.
· Strong ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised.
· Adherence to excellent OH&S practices.
Job Types: Casual
Salary: $32 – $40 per hour
Schedule: Day shift
Monday to Friday
