About the business
Aboriginal Land Care (Ngala Boodja) provides quality land care services, including land management and maintenance for bushland areas, natural areas, parks, gardens and streetscapes.
We are based in South Guildford but work across the greater Perth region and occasionally work in rural areas.
We are a small and quickly expanding business specializing in Natural Areas and Environmental Services such as weed control, revegetation, natural areas management & everything in-between.
About the role
We are seeking motivated and reliable persons to join our small but great team. Throughout the first 3 months probationary period you will be trained and familiarized with all our sites, how we operate within them and how we provide our services.
The role will include but is not limited to herbicide spraying, manual weed control, mechanical weed control i.e. operating of small plant equipment (chainsaws, hedgers, brush cutters etc.), rubbish removal, vegetation management, watering services, planting from tube stock to street trees and a variety of other tasks related to horticulture, land management and conservation works.
Please note - pay rate varies on qualifications and experience. Our starting hourly pay rate ranges from $30-$33

Skills and experience
Required
Safe approach to working at all times & in all environments
License Needed (Manual / C class preferred)
Pesticide license (spray ticket) or TAFE units complete - Highly Desired
Interest in natural areas, ecosystems and native plants
Must be capable to deal with labor intensive works
Reliable with a can-do attitude
Tolerate working in all weather conditions
Hands on
Attentive
Work well in a team environment
Fit for work
Close attention to detail
Desirable
Experience towing trailers & driving offroad
Certificate in Conservation and Ecosystems or Horticulture
Environmental Science studies / bachelor's etc.
Able to identify native plants/weeds within the Perth Metropolitain area
Experience in conservation and land management or horticulture fields
Pesticide Ticket or units complete
