Based off its huge success in Brisbane, Kangaroo Segway Tours (KST) is opening a new site on the Gold Coast and we’re looking for guides to join the KST family!

About Kangaroo Segway Tours

Kangaroo Segway Tours has been operating Segway for more than 13 years, providing guests with unforgettable day and night Segway experiences. We are opening a new site in Surfers to give guests to the GC an experience they will never forget!

As a Segway Tour Guide, you'll be friendly and enthusiastic as you lead groups of people on Segway tours through Surfers Paradise.

With a predetermined route and following a comprehensive training for our guests, you'll immerse guests in all that Surfers has to offer, all while fostering an atmosphere of excitement and exploration!

One of the most rewarding aspects of joining our team is the constant interaction with happy and positive holiday makers seeking enjoyment during their holidays and weekends. The infectious enthusiasm of our guests, combined with the camaraderie among colleagues, creates an environment of professional fulfilment—a hallmark of the vibrant tourism industry.

About the Role / Shifts -

We’re offering casual opportunities with flexibility of hours and excellent hourly rates.

Monday to Saturday: $35/hr

Sunday: $43/hr

Love for the Outdoors: Given the nature of our activities, a genuine enjoyment of being outdoors is essential.

Ability to Work Independently: While teamwork is crucial, our team members should also be capable of working autonomously, demonstrating self-sufficiency and initiative in their roles. You will at times be taking our guests out on your own.

Reliability and Honesty: These qualities are foundational to our operations, as we rely on our team members to fulfil their responsibilities with integrity and dependability.

Australian Working rights: You will need to be able to prove your right to work in Australia

Preferred but Not Essential:

First Aid Certificate: While not mandatory, a first aid certificate demonstrates a commitment to guest safety and may be advantageous in certain situations. Not to worry if you don't have one yet - we can help you obtain a first aid certificate.

Past Tourism Industry Experience: Prior experience in the tourism industry can provide valuable insights and skills that enhance our team's effectiveness and guest experience.

Most importantly these roles are for people that just love working with people and riding Segways. You will be dealing with people on holidays, they are happy and upbeat.

Some of our current facilitators and guides are Uni students, teachers, or mums & dads supplementing their current income with some weekday/weekend work.
