We are crazy about mushrooms and love growing them. We operate a large indoor climate controlled, computerised growing facility based in Londonderry, close to Penrith. Our produce is supplied to all major Australian supermarket chains, as well as independent grocers and a range of food industry stakeholders.

We are looking for a Full Time Industrial FMCG Maintenance Electrician to join our team.

As part of a growing business the role will need someone with experience and passion but also a willingness to learn and accept new challenges.

$60-$65 per hour

Objective of the role

• Maintenance is an important part of an Industrial Electrician’s job, especially in older facilities where machines and circuits require continuous upkeep. Problem solving skills and sophisticated equipment are routinely used in trouble shooting, automated machinery.
• To contribute to the safe, efficient & effective operation of all Plant Equipment by performing all aspects of maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard & strictly within OH&S requirements.

Safety

• To accept and abide by the Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Policies and Principles.
• Report any defective/unsafe tools or plant equipment.
• Ensure others are working Safely (Duty of Care)
• Ensure Electrical Code of Practice is followed.

Quality

• To Gain knowledge, understanding & comply with Regal Mushrooms Quality procedures.
• Complete all work thoroughly including testing & commissioning of all work.

Housekeeping

• Apply Good Housekeeping Rules to Workshop & Other Areas
• Always apply Good Housekeeping Practices before, during & after any activities.
• Ensure all tools & equipment are kept in good, clean & safe condition.
• Ensure all tools & equipment are returned to Workshop after use.

Maintenance

• Undertake Preventative & Scheduled Maintenance Activities as defined by CMMS.
• Contribute to Information Feedback as determined by CMMS Work Orders
• Respond to break down situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested.
• Ensure temporary repairs are reported for permanent repair to be implemented.

Improvements

• Liaise with Managers and machine operators about performance of equipment or changes.
• Record any defects found during performance of work.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Tradesman Certificate – C8 Minimum. (Special Class Electrician)
• Minimum 5 years post trade experience, or other experience deemed relevant.
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and Environment Policies and Principles.
• Thorough knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act and Australian Wiring Rules
• Self-starter with ability to work autonomously or within a team.
• Be prepared to change task priorities to meet Regal Mushrooms business needs.
• Good communication and comprehension
• Participate in open team discussion.
• Prepared to challenge others in a positive manner.
• Ability to change within a changing work environment.
• Lead the proactive risk management of employees and contractors by ensuring JSEA’s, SOP’s and other risk management processes are implemented.
