About the role
Maters regional Supply Chain Operations team is seeking a casual Supply Chain Operations Officer based at the Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg.
The Supply Chain Officer is proactive in implementing new ways of working and standard operating processes to support the growth and expansion of service provision. As part of the centralised Mater Supply Chain Operations team, the role is focused on fostering collaborative and customer-focused working relationships. The team adopts a "one team" approach and is open to continuous improvement and change.
Salary range: $38.81 per hour plus 25% casual loading, 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality outcomes in supply chain operations activities. Responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:
- Facilitate accurate and timely coordination of inventory movements (ie picking, receipting, counting), adhering to standard processes
- Provide updates and follow-up actions as agreed with the purchasing team
- Communicate and provide feedback to ensure seamless collaboration within the Supply Chain Operations team
- Prioritise stock control and inventory management to ensure availability
- Share customer feedback to address inventory issues effectively
- Identify and discuss areas for improvement in inventory control
- Resolve supplier queries to ensure smooth delivery of goods and services
- Conduct routine imprest management activities and contribute to consistent process management
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and a collaborative approach to customer service
- Contribute to team development activities and support the transition to a centralised regional supply chain operations model
- Actively seek opportunities to improve service standards and share knowledge within the team
- Adhere to supply chain operations processes and governance rules
About you
- Diploma in Purchasing, Warehousing or equivalent is desirable, but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse and inventory control, preferably in a large, complex organisation
- Healthcare warehouse experience is desirable
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office suite
- Proactive in monitoring and communicating inventory and stock control issues
- Outcome-oriented with understanding of key performance standards
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to meet client expectations
- Contributes to continuous improvement and supports the Supply Chain Operations team
- Actively seeks to improve health, safety, and environmental performance
