Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A-Grade Electrician to join our team, specializing in electrical maintenance services. This role requires experience in a variety of electrical settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments, with a strong emphasis on providing maintenance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and the capacity to sell additional services to clients, fostering long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance:

Conduct regular electrical maintenance and inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Diagnose electrical faults, perform troubleshooting, and repair or replace faulty wiring, components, or systems.

Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with Australian electrical standards and regulations.

Installation and Upgrades:

Assist with the installation, replacement, or upgrading of electrical systems and equipment as needed.

Work on various electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, switchboards, and control systems.

Customer Relations and Sales:

Utilize strong communication skills to engage with clients, identify their electrical needs, and offer tailored solutions.

Promote and sell additional electrical services such as system upgrades, energy-efficient solutions, and maintenance packages.

Maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure that all electrical work adheres to relevant safety standards and codes.

Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures to prevent accidents or damage.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and customer interactions.

Provide detailed quotes and invoices for work completed, including any recommended future services.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Valid A-Grade Electrical License in Victoria.

Current Victorian driver’s license.

White Card (Construction Induction).

Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not required).

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an A-Grade Electrician, with a strong background in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

Experience in working across various electrical settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Proven ability to identify opportunities for additional services and effectively sell to clients.

Skills and Attributes:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Sales acumen with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to use mobile devices and apps for quoting, invoicing, and reporting.

Experience with energy-efficient solutions and smart home technologies is a plus.

Hourly Rate: $45 per hour (based on experience).
