Storm & Strength Therapeutic Services is seeking a committed and compassionate professional to join our small, values-driven private practice in Armidale, NSW. We specialise in working with children, teenagers, and their families – helping them navigate emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges with evidence-based, person-centred care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified Social Worker (eligible for AASW membership) who is eager to grow professionally, and particularly suited for someone with an interest in becoming an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.

We are committed to supporting your career development. You will receive structured clinical supervision, case support, and mentoring, enabling you to meet the requirements for AMHSW accreditation.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

· Holds a relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work

· Is eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

· Is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families

· Has a deep commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred, and evidence-based practice

· Is a reflective practitioner, eager to grow and contribute to a team

· Has a current driver’s licence, and WWCC & NDISWC (or willingness to obtain)

Bonus if you have experience or training in:

· Positive Behaviour Support

· Developmental Trauma or Mental Health

· Functional and Social Skill Development

· Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Parenting Program
