About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced HC Driver to join our dedicated team at Garden Gear (Bulk Haulage Division).This full time position is based in Fyshwick, ACT and offers a competitive renumeration package.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate heavy combination cement tanker to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner
• Perform daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Ensure safe loading, transportation and unloading of materials
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
• Adhere to all relevant road safety laws and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service to clients
• Assist with general maintenance and yard duties as required

What we're looking for

• A valid HC driver's licence with a proven safe driving record
• Extensive experience operating heavy combination vehicles (cement tanker experience preferred but not essential)
• Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices
• Attention to detail, cleanliness and commitment to safety
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently and part of a team
• Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
