About the role

As the Senior Manager - Strategic Performance, you will report to the General Manager (GM) - Strategy. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on how Australian Retirement Trust (ART) is delivering on its strategy. This includes developing frameworks as well as providing insights and commentary on key results and outcomes. You will also support the development of the Prudential Standard SPS 515 Member Outcomes Assessment and the Business Performance Report.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Member outcomes assessment: responsible for the development the annual SPS 515 Member Outcome Assessment, highlighting ART's performance against member outcomes, KPIs, and benchmarks.
  • Reporting: prepare and present performance reports, including the annual SPS 515 Business Performance Report, to senior leadership.
  • Scorecard development: lead the development of the enterprise scorecard, ensuring KPIs are specific and measurable.
  • KPI analysis: analyse KPIs to assess ART's progress towards strategic goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Benchmarking: Compare ART's performance against industry standards and best practices.
  • Market analysis: conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Annual business planning: Support annual planning and budgeting with senior leadership.
  • Data-driven decision making: Provide data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
  • Global best practice: provide outside in perspective to inform into the strategy development.
  • Stakeholder communication: Communicate performance results and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with senior leaders to gather insights into performance.
  • Leadership and mentorship: Lead and mentor the strategic performance team, fostering strategic thinking and high performance.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, or a business-related field.
  • Experience in strategy development, business performance or strategy execution.
  • Knowledge of Prudential Standard SPS 515 Strategic Planning and Member Outcomes and associated regulatory guides.
  • Proven track record in leading high performing teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to convert raw data and information into insights and recommendations in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge of the Australian superannuation system, dynamics and regulatory landscape.
  • Strong written, presentation (PowerPoint), and communication skills, including the ability to succinctly communicate key issues in a timely fashion with a senior management audience.
  • Collaborative work style, which includes the ability to negotiate, build consensus and seek guidance where appropriate.
