As Unique continues to grow, we’re preparing for an exciting HQ move from Kunda Park to a purpose-built facility in Aura (Caloundra) at the end of this year. We are currently looking for a casual Kitchen & General Areas Coordinator to join our Unique team and co-manage our kitchen and general areas for our team members at our Kunda Park warehouse and finally at our new Aura site.
About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and friendly kitchenhand to join a dynamic Sunshine Coast business. As the Kitchen & General Areas coordinator, you will enjoy great hours with a perfect work-life balance - no weekend work, while serving meals & coffee to your work colleagues!
This position reports directly to the Head of People, Culture & Safety and is responsible to co-manage the onsite kitchen and general areas as follows:
Making Chai, Coffee (barista style using our state of the art coffee machine), Iced tea, and Hot Chocolate for all Unique team members
Preparation of staff meals (including heating of meals) for 4 designated morning tea and 4 designated lunch breaks
Ensuring the kitchen and common areas are clean and well presented
Ensuring the kitchen and its equipment are clean and maintained
Cleaning dishes and tables at the end of each break
Ensuring all bathrooms are tidy and stocked (you aren't expected to clean them)
Coordinating the company canteen (snack food sales & stocktake)
Skills & Experience
It is highly regarded if you have:
Previous barista experience preferable but not a deal breaker
Enjoy and respect the preparation of food
Love Customer Service - have great communication and be personable
Attention to detail and a natural inclination for organisation and cleanliness
Diplomacy and confidentiality (you work in the lunch area so hear all the chat)
Be organised and have the ability to work to the deadline
Exceptional cleaning skills
Ability to work well within a team
You must be available to work the following hours:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (11am start until 3pm) and Thursday to Friday (6.30am start until 3pm)
