HR Driver – Multi-Skilled Role

About the role

Thor Demolition Pty Ltd is seeking a Casual HR Truck Driver to join our team in Redland Bay, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy rigid trucks, transporting demolition materials and equipment to and from job sites. What you'll be doing

Operate heavy rigid trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies

Load and unload demolition materials and equipment, ensuring secure and balanced loads

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues or maintenance requirements

Maintain accurate paperwork and records of vehicle usage and work hours

Liaise with site managers and logistical staff to ensure timely and efficient arrivales and departures

Assist with other general labour duties as required, such as site clean-up and equipment handling

What we're looking for

A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence

At least 2 years of experience operating heavy rigid trucks in a commercial or industrial setting

Driving a range of vehicles – ute, mini tipper, HR tipper, HR flatbed, tractors

Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures of materials and equipment

Strong attention to safety, with a commitment to following all traffic regulations and company policies

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with site teams

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, able to handle changing priorities and deadlines

Availability for day, night, and occasional weekend shifts

Ability to supply references from previous employment
