Cloncurry Shire Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Director – Child Care (Nominated Supervisor) to lead the Curry Kids Early Learning Centre. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building high-performing teams, developing strong community relationships, and delivering exceptional early learning experiences.

• $125k pa (plus Super) and 6 monthly bonuses of $5K
• 5 weeks Annual Leave
• Monthly RDO
• Housing provided

Relocation costs covered up to about $6K (negotiable)

Even more exciting – this position offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role in the planning and establishment of a brand-new early learning centre, shaping its vision, team, and culture from the ground up.

As Director, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of Curry Kids Early Learning Centre (https://www.cloncurry.qld.gov.au/childcare-centre)
• Oversee the transition into a new, purpose-built early learning facility
• Mentor and support a passionate team of educators
• Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the wider community
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Manage staffing, enrolments, budgets, and quality improvement planning
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children

• Organised, proactive, and confident managing Centre operations
• A clear communicator who builds positive relationships with families, staff, and stakeholders
• Passionate about continuous improvement and driving high standards in education and care

Key Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Children’s Services (or higher qualification recognised by ACECQA)
• At least 3 years' experience in an early childhood leadership role
• Current First Aid Certificate (including anaphylaxis and asthma)
• Positive Notice Blue Card
• Strong knowledge of NQF, NQS, and Early Years Learning Framework
• C Class Driver's Licence (open licence)
