The opportunity

Vacenti is seeking a Part-time Massage Therapist to join our team across multiple Vacenti facilities located across south-east Queensland. This role will work closely with various teams to ensure high-quality therapeutic massage services are delivered to our residents, thus assisting residents achieve physical and emotional well-being.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Carefully assess each resident’s physical condition and needs, and modify massage techniques as necessary to ensure comfort and safety.

Maintain awareness of any pre-existing health conditions, medications, and mobility limitations, adjusting therapy accordingly.

Administer gentle, specialized massage techniques suitable for the elderly.

Apply techniques that promote better circulation, which can help improve mobility and reduce swelling or edema, particularly in the limbs and extremities.

Assist residents who are recovering from surgery, injury, or illness by helping reduce muscle stiffness and improving mobility.

To be successful in this position you will need:

Minimum Certificate IV in Massage Therapy

Previous experience as a massage therapist

Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and professional interactions with clients.

Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain a friendly, welcoming demeanour.
