An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist - Senior to deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health. The Community Chronic Conditions Service (CCCS) aims to prevent morbidity associated with chronic and complex conditions, prevent hospital admissions, reduce length of stay and prevent premature admission to Residential Aged Care. The CCCS is part of Transition Services in the Community and Preventive Health (CP&H) Directorate.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced [discipline] practitioners and students as delegated.
- Facilitate and contribute to clinical research projects of clinical importance to the relevant Allied Health profession or multidisciplinary team, seeking outcomes that influence standards of clinical practice and the delivery of services.
Remuneration value up to $13,113 p.m., comprising salary between $4912.70 - $5286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary position available for nine months). About Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service
Public health services in Queensland are provided through 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHS). These are statutory bodies each governed by a Hospital and Health Board. Some public health services are also provided by private providers.
