Your Opportunity
We have an exciting permanent full-time Training Consultant position available in our User Choice team at TAFE Queensland’s Location Campus.
Training Consultants support clients on the job ensuring all aspects of their training, assessment and future learning requirements are met.
This position reports to the Delivery Support Manager..
The position will be based primarily at the Bohle Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Salary
The salary range for this position at the AO4 classification is $89,141.87 - $98,881.00 (gross) per annum.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with employers and students to facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes through the coordination of workplace assessment and industry placement.
- Provide employers with advice on Institute training programs and innovative learning solutions/options for their staff including the identification of Institute-based learning opportunities.
- Monitor training and development trends particularly those relevant to flexible/innovative delivery and maintain links with employers in the training market.
- Maintain records of client industry placement needs, training and assessment programs, and associated reporting documentation to ensure that the Institute’s statutory obligations are met.
- Promote the Institute’s education and training programs and products in order to maximise market share and achieve team targets.
- Coordinate student access to learning programs and appropriate assessment processes and records (on and off the job) ensuring all aspects of the training program are satisfactorily achieved for clients on time and within budget.
- In consultation with education delivery staff, coordinate the development of individual learning plans and customised learning materials where necessary to facilitate the desired training competencies required by employers and employees.
- Participate as a team member in the process of recognition of prior learning/current competency and skill gap training for students (on and off the job).
- Proactively be involved in local industry groups and assist employers to meet their statutory obligations under training legislation, regulations and guidelines.
- Contribute to the achievement of TAFE Queensland quality policies by encouraging an environment where high quality work is achieved and is supported by the adherence/development of quality system documentation specifically in relation to the Standards for National VET Regulator (NVR) Registered Training Organisations.
- Keep informed with Training Package changes and how upcoming changes may affect employers and apprentices/trainees.
- Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
- Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
- Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
