About the role

Carbone Contracting PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Perth, WA . In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy mining and construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

This role is a FIFO role on a 2:1 Roster

What you'll be doing

Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment components

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance

Carry out breakdowns in an efficient and safe matter

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work

Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment fleet

What we're looking for

Cert III in Mobile Plant & Technology

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic

OEM experience on Caterpillar machinery would be preferred but not essential

Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mobile plant, including haul trucks, excavators, and dozers

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A valid Australian driver's licence
