We are looking for a hardworking store-person for a full-time position in our Biloela store.

We are locally owned and operated and have been servicing our amazing community since 1988. We pride ourselves on being Mighty Helpful and providing a great customer experience to all.

The Mitre 10 group is Australia's largest independent home improvement and hardware wholesaler to the industry and supports an iconic network of over 700 hardware operators. Expected working hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Mon-Fri with 1hr lunch and some Saturdays 8:30am-1:30pm.

Award wages apply under the General Retail Industry Award 2020.

Qualifications & experience

Forklift License

MR Truck License

Car license

Strong understanding of the WHS requirements

Attention to detail reading and understanding paperwork, delivery dockets, etc.

Great people skills to provide outstanding customer service

Capable of working both outdoors and indoors, and on your feet all day

Capable of moderate to heavy lifting - building materials

Ability to follow instructions well, teachable

Tasks & responsibilities

Providing GREAT customer service and advise customers on hardware products

Accurately unpacking and checking incoming deliveries ready for sale

Ensuring the health and safety of fellow team members as per in-house WHS policies

Organizing and storing timber and building materials

Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of the sale yard

Deliveries of goods to customers - some heavy lifting - MR truck license essential

Forklift unloading and loading trucks

Use of computers - basic knowledge required - training will be provided

Undertake regular stocktaking and inventory checks

Manage stock levels, minimize shrinkage and stock loss, maintain stock tickets

Build relationships with customers and be able to identify their needs
